Hairbrained Tips

  • Hair goes through phases. Shedding, Growing, Resting. So, sometimes, it's normal to lose some extra hair.  If you're noticing a difference in the thickness of your hair, you're probably losing too much. This could be from stress, medications, genetics, etc. Try Redken's Intra Force, a 3 step system to promote thicker fuller hair, guaranteed in 30 days or 100% money back.
  •  To keep color looking fresh and increase the life of your color (especially reds), wash with luke warm water and rinse with cool. Cool water seals the cuticle, locking in color and leaving the hair super shiny.
  • Wedding, or special occasion? Don't wash your hair the day of the event. This allows the hair to rsettle, and makes the hair more manageable when creating your beautiful style.
  • Oily, lifeless hair? Try Tigi's Dirty Secret dry shampoo and dry conditioner to extend styles. Dry shampoo on the scalp, dry conditioner on the ends. You can also use dry shampoo to create volume!
  • Your hair only needs shampooed as needed. If your scalp produces less oils, there's no need to shampoo everyday. It's healthier for your hair and keeps from drying out your locks.
  • Extremely dry hair? Shampoo, use a deep conditioner as your normal conditioner, then after your shower, use a pea sized drop of daily conditioner and work through your ends as a leave in.
  • Reconstructing shampoos are not daily shampoos. They are to be used as needed, or once or twice weekly depending on your hair. Some contain protein, and though hair is made up of proteins, too much is bad and can cause hair to break or be brittle/dry.
